Job Description:

This role will assist the Manager of External Communications and Media Relations in project managing the rebranding of all marked assets of the recently acquired East Ohio Gas, and for those of two additional US utilities in Utah and North Carolina, subject to completion of acquisition by Enbridge in 2024.

Per the agreements of purchase and sale, Enbridge has 180 days following the close of each US utility transaction to remove the Dominion Energy branding (logo and name) from any marked materials.


Specific Accountabilities:

Project manage the rebranding of marked assets for the former East Ohio Gas and two additional US utilities subject to close of the acquisition:

  • Stand up cross-functional teams consisting of representatives from key areas within Enbridge Gas and each US utility as each transaction closes, to coordinate and implement the rebranding of all major asset categories including but not limited to: external and internal building signage, fleet, pipeline markers, distribution and transmission station signage, CNG and LNG station signage, uniforms (PPE), access badges, email signatures, business cards and stationary, forms, external and internal applications, customer communications and marketing program materials (energy conservation programs, safety awareness programs etc.).
  • For each US utility, identify a project lead for each asset workstream, complete an asset inventory to identify/confirm all items requiring rebranding, quantities, and estimated costs.
  • Maintain a master implementation roadmap for each utility and track progress to the plan.
  • Convene and lead regular status calls with each asset workstream team to provide oversight and guidance on:
  1. Defining the process, timeline, internal and external communication needs for each asset workstream.
  2. Enbridge Gas design and communication guidelines for vendors, and the review and approval of all design proofs.
  3. Sourcing internal graphic design support as needed.
  4. The development of internal and external communication materials.
  • Coordinate interdependencies with internal and customer communications plans to ensure leaders, employees, customers, and other key stakeholder are updated on the rebranding project, and any upcoming changes that will impact them.
  • Consult with internal regulatory teams to ensure any regulatory requirements on utility rebranding are addressed.
  • Provide regular reporting, status updates to the Enbridge Integration Management Office.
  • The rebranding project will be guided by the following guiding principles:
  • Maximize consistency of customer experience by aligning the timing of the rollout of critical customer-facing items as much as possible (e.g., bill, building signage, web, social).
  • Reduce customer confusion and safeguard customer experience by dovetailing branding changes to customer-facing touchpoints with customer, internal and external communication plans.
  • Contain cost and level of effort by leveraging existing operational processes to rebrand where possible.


Scope/Dimensions

  • Organization dimension: US Utilities.
  • Geographic dimension: Ohio, Utah, North Carolina
  • Must be able to work independently


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • Post-secondary university degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ progressive experience in a communications or marketing role.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and project management skills.
  • Superior communication skills – written and spoken.
  • Team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.


Preferred:

  • Project Management certification.
  • Experience in the natural gas or energy industry


Working Conditions

  • Role can be stationed in Toronto or Chatham, ON
  • Some overtime and travel within Canada and the US may be required.
  • Hybrid model: In-office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) / Remote (Wednesday & Friday)
