About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate and execute service agreements, ensuring that all procurement activities align with the client's policies and procedures. You will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships and supporting various operational, project, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Agreement Coordination: Coordinate and execute service agreements, acting as a liaison between user departments and suppliers.
  • Requisition Analysis: Review and analyze service requisitions to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • RFQ Preparation: Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for operational, project, and strategic initiatives.
  • Cost Management: Ensure products are purchased at reasonable prices while achieving cost savings within required timeframes.
  • Support and Training: Assist other buyers and expeditors, and aid in training and understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies and procedures.
  • SCM Tools Utilization: Utilize relevant SCM tools for procurement of services and materials with Express Platte Operations.
  • E-Catalog and Purchasing Systems: Support training on SCM’s e-catalog ordering system, purchasing card procedures, and purchase order/service release order controls.
  • Sourcing and Evaluation: Complete the sourcing and evaluation process, including bid or proposal solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ) and development.
  • Contract Management: Create custom contracts, ensuring quality assurance and review of final contract documents, and manage document retention/storage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • A related university degree from an accredited college in purchasing, supply chain management, business administration, finance, logistics, or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, B-Comm., Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Two or more years of procurement experience (no more than 4 years for a Buyer I role).

Preferred:

  • Enrollment in Supply Chain Management Professional (SCPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) programs.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas environment
