Role and Responsibilities:
The Facility Integrity Lead Inspector will have the following responsibilities as part of Storage & Facility Integrity team supporting UST and CGT business units of GTM.
- Develop above ground, SPCC, compressor bottle, and repair scope of work.
- Review deliverables, repair plans, and recommendations.
- Execute field inspections.
- Follow and documenting fabrications and repairs.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ongoing/upcoming projects, and their geographical locations
- Communicate with regional corrosion group
- Execute site visits to support scope of work development
- Collaborate with Visions administrators on data input completions and data output proficiencies
- Approve and develop remediation of recommendations entered in Visions
- Review contractor qualifications and certifications
- Understanding of new inspection technologies, applications, and their limitations.
- Responsible for supporting audits
- Plan and/or execute opportunistic inspections during scheduled and unscheduled outages.
- Audit field NDT and API inspection techniques.
- Environmental awareness when working in sensitive areas
- Comprehensive understanding of ASME Sec. VIII and ASME B31 codes
- Collaborate with Inspection Supervisor, Inspection Project Coordinator, Inspection Technical SME and Regional Engineers in communication of planned Facility Integrity projects.
- Schedule and facilitate Project Kick-off Meetings and Project Close-out meetings.
- Fill in for FI Inspection Project Coordinator and FI Inspection Technical SME as required
- Travel up to 50% of time may be required
Required/Desired Skills, Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of related experience in fabrication and repair of ASME Section VIII & B31 compliant Pressure Vessels and Station Piping
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- API-510 Certified Pressure Vessel Inspector
- API-570 Certified Piping Inspector
- API-653 Certified Storage Tank Inspector
- AWS-CWI Certified Welding Inspector or knowledge a plus
- For USA: ACCP Certified Level II UT, MT, and PT or ASNT Level II UT, MT, and PT
- For Canada: CGSB Level II UT, MT, and PT
- Strong knowledge of damage mechanisms affecting natural gas processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills
- Working knowledge in Computerized Maintenance Management System (i.e., Maximo, SAP, etc.)
- Working knowledge in Integrity Data Management System (i.e., Visions, PCMS, Ultra pipe, etc.)
- Proficient in applicable PHMSA (CFR Part 192 and 195) and CER (Onshore Pipeline Regulations) requirements
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.8, BPVC (I, IV, V, VIII, IX), CSA-Z662, CSA-B51, API 650, NBIC-23, ASME B31.3, API RP 576
- NACE CIP or knowledge of protective coatings a plus

The candidate in this position is a key contributor to the success of Facility Integrity Inspection execution. The position requires strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and technical skills to be successful. On occasion, the candidate in this position may be required to work under pressure and strict deadlines. The candidate may also be required to make frequent changes to schedule depending on operational and business needs.
