About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures, and optimizing pricing to support company-wide cost-saving measures. You will also develop and negotiate supplier agreements and act as a liaison between project managers, consultants, and suppliers.

What You Will Do:

  • Review and process purchase requisitions for goods and services, ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.
  • Develop, negotiate, and assist in the execution of supplier agreements.
  • Obtain optimized pricing and cost-efficient methods to support company-wide cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and audit guidelines, including SOX requirements.
  • Issue and approve purchase orders in accordance with Supply Chain Management, Legal, and Delegation of Authorities (DOA) Policies.
  • Investigate and facilitate issue resolution related to procurement activities as requested.
  • Act as a liaison between project managers and/or consultants and suppliers prior to the issuance of orders.
  • Mentor, guide, and train department staff or end-user department personnel as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a university degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or Economics, with at least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, primarily as a material/service buyer. Other relevant experience will be considered.
  • Enrollment in a Supply Chain Management-related professional certification, such as PMAC or ISM, is considered an asset.
  • You thrive and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment due to a high volume of requests.
