Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Engagement Specialist to join our team!

We are looking for someone who will proactively contribute to a high performing team supporting our GTM Commercial customers via ideation, workshop & meeting facilitation, presentation, requirements gathering and documentation, road mapping, and process improvement in Houston, TX.

Here’s what you will do:

  • Identify and ideate with business customers on areas of focus, application roadmap, and process improvements
  • Facilitate in meetings/workshops and prepare business presentations, business cases.
  • Responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications
  • Assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes
  • Assist in preparing project related documents and organizational change management (OCM) communication
  • Track projects as needed - project tasks, cost & timeline, budget, issues, change requests, status, etc.
  • Partner with development team to provide reporting and status on project deliverables
  • Coordinate and participate in Testing activities
  • Assist in software package deployment for business customers

Who you are:

  • Related University Degree 5+ years’ experience
  • Complete understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Experienced with Agile Methodology to effectively prioritize and execute multiple assignments through a myriad of changing business processes and shifting priorities
  • Ability to translate technical information into terms understandable by non-IT savvy personnel
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Highly motivated and passionate to pursue the development of strategic plan and creative thinking to make progress in a challenging, complex and technical environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong customer service focus in understanding and meeting the needs of our business partners
  • Willingness to build collaborative relationships

The following are considered assets:

  • Degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or related technical discipline or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with Gas Pipeline Transmission applications
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
