Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Engagement Specialist to join our team!
We are looking for someone who will proactively contribute to a high performing team supporting our GTM Commercial customers via ideation, workshop & meeting facilitation, presentation, requirements gathering and documentation, road mapping, and process improvement in Houston, TX.
Here’s what you will do:
- Identify and ideate with business customers on areas of focus, application roadmap, and process improvements
- Facilitate in meetings/workshops and prepare business presentations, business cases.
- Responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications
- Assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes
- Assist in preparing project related documents and organizational change management (OCM) communication
- Track projects as needed - project tasks, cost & timeline, budget, issues, change requests, status, etc.
- Partner with development team to provide reporting and status on project deliverables
- Coordinate and participate in Testing activities
- Assist in software package deployment for business customers
Who you are:
- Related University Degree 5+ years’ experience
- Complete understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experienced with Agile Methodology to effectively prioritize and execute multiple assignments through a myriad of changing business processes and shifting priorities
- Ability to translate technical information into terms understandable by non-IT savvy personnel
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Highly motivated and passionate to pursue the development of strategic plan and creative thinking to make progress in a challenging, complex and technical environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong customer service focus in understanding and meeting the needs of our business partners
- Willingness to build collaborative relationships
The following are considered assets:
- Degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or related technical discipline or equivalent
- Prior experience working with Gas Pipeline Transmission applications
- Experience with Azure DevOps
