About Us: 

Our Demand Side Management (DSM) team collaborates with commercial customers to enhance their natural gas efficiency. We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to join our Commercial Sales team, serving various commercial sectors.

Role Overview: 

As an Advisor Energy Solutions, you will be instrumental in delivering Enbridge’s Energy Conservation programs directly to customers and affiliated business partners. Your role involves managing and nurturing positive working relationships with specific customers and segments, aiming to meet or exceed assigned energy conservation targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently identify and deliver technical solutions, performing complex custom engineering and energy efficiency calculations for assigned commercial customers across a designated region.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions to engineers within the energy conservation team.
  • Establish and build operational and technical relationships with customers at all organizational levels to foster long-term trust and commitment towards achieving natural gas usage reduction targets.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to assigned accounts, including site walk-throughs to assist customers in identifying, screening, and evaluating potential energy conservation opportunities through basic building and thermal system audits.
  • Ensure timely implementation of projects into DSM tracking systems, ensuring all potential, active, and completed projects are verifiable and audit-ready. Provide specific support during customer audit verification processes as required.
  • Establish alliances with business partners (contractors, equipment suppliers and manufacturers, consulting engineers, etc.) to facilitate the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects.
  • Attend and present energy efficiency programs at customer meetings, trade shows, and energy forums and events.
  • Promote energy conservation and represent the Enbridge brand effectively.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A related university degree in Business or Engineering (preferred: Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical).
  • Minimum of four years of project engineering or project management and sales experience in commercial sector environments.
  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently while collaborating with a team of like-minded professionals.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Preferred:

  • Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or a similar professional organization.
  • Energy Management certification (such as Certified Energy Manager).
  • Operational knowledge or design experience in HVAC, Boilers, and BAS control systems.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is a mix of office-based (50%) and field (50%) work, requiring travel mainly within Ontario, including overnight stays.
  • A valid ‘G’ License and a responsible driving record are required.
