Overview:
The primary focus of this role is to coordinate the safe execution of capital maintenance and operational projects within the Eastern Region. This includes projects related to electrical and mechanical equipment repair and/or replacement, annual tank inspection and maintenance, earthworks and civil repair, as well as support for environmental drilling and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the planning of projects within the Eastern Region by formulating the scope of work, execution budget, and schedule.
- Determine resource requirements and identify key stakeholders, finalizing permits and regulatory applications.
- Lead all aspects of project execution, including selecting resources, requesting procurement of services, and establishing work orders.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate project closure, ensuring quality documentation is produced in accordance with Enbridge Standards and turned over to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure constructed and repaired assets meet project sponsor and operational requirements.
- Create and finalize Technical Records Turnover index in Field Work Management Records (FWMR).
- Review Management of Change (MOC) documents.
Scope/Dimensions:
- Provide technical leadership to engineering and construction professionals throughout project planning, construction, and closure.
- Offer technical expertise in the development of contractor specifications, contractor qualification, and safety guidelines for work provided by contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all Enbridge and regulatory requirements pertaining to health, safety, and environment.
- Provide input into the preparation of the Regional operating and capital budgets.
Working Relationships:
- Maintain regular customer service-focused interactions with Area Operations Managers and Operational team members in the Eastern Region, providing project coordination support for repairs and remediation activities.
- Engage in regular collaborative contact with Project Sponsors, Regional Engineering, Regional Maintenance Services, and Area Operations, gathering project requirements and communicating project activities and progress.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
- Post-secondary education in engineering or construction management with 7 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and pipeline maintenance and construction experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a focus on superior customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
Preferred:
- A minimum of 7 years of pipeline maintenance, project management, or oil and gas construction experience.
- Knowledge of Enbridge Construction Standards and Specifications, as well as Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
