About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Communications Lead to support the US Utility Integration (USUI) Customer workstream. This role involves developing and executing communication strategies related to integration, including creating leadership and executive presentations. You will collaborate closely with the Manager of Integration Programs Communications and the Communications Specialist for Business Readiness to update and implement the Communication & Engagement Strategy (C&E Strategy).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication plans to educate and inform internal and external stakeholders, vendors, regulatory bodies, and customers about changes arising from the US Utility Integration project.
- Ensure adherence to communication standards, templates, and guidelines within the US Utility Integration Program.
- Maintain consistent messaging across communications and engage workstreams, including ERP and Business Apps. Lead engagement sessions to identify opportunities for efficiencies.
- Track communication and engagement metrics for reporting by the Business Readiness Program - Project Management team, identify potential risks, and collaborate with the Integration team to ensure timely solutions.
- Supervise the effectiveness of communication efforts through stakeholder feedback and engagement metrics, recommending and delivering improvements.
- Assist training developers with key messaging for targeted communications.
- Work with the Project Management Office to ensure coordination across multiple workstreams, aligning on consistent terminology and messaging.
- Collaborate with U.S. local distribution company communications teams to establish best practices and leverage existing processes.
- Design and administer surveys, analyze feedback, and leverage insights to measure readiness and recommend targeted actions to mitigate risks.
- Track communication effectiveness and prepare reports for leaders on readiness assessments, willingness to adopt changes, and potential risks.
- Provide expertise and support to program teams, developing stakeholder engagement approaches and showcasing integration progress with visual tools like heatmaps.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Communications or a related field.
- Minimum of ten years of related experience or an equivalent combination of formal education, certification, and experience.
- Minimum of six years of directly related communications experience, preferably in a large and sophisticated organization.
- PROSCI Change Management Certification, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) Designation, or Communications Management Professional (CMP) is an asset.
- Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies for transformational change programs or projects.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong, positive, and trusting relationships with diverse partners.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills, proficient in using Microsoft Office (Superior PowerPoint skills), SharePoint, Viva Engage, and other communication tools and software.
Working Conditions:
- Some project implementations occur overnight or on weekends, and you may need to be available to support and manage project go-live.
- Ability to travel up to 25% within Canada and the US, including travel to other Enbridge offices.
