Enbridge is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer – Facilities Projects right now—when you apply, Raise will review your application within 48 hours and contact qualified applicants for interviews.  

Position Overview: 

The Engineer will lead and manage relationships with engineering service providers. This role is crucial in ensuring that all design and procurement processes meet regulatory requirements and Enbridge's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Own and manage the relationship and contracts with engineering services providers.
  • Design Review Leadership: Lead the design review process with internal and external partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, codes, and Enbridge’s specifications, standards, and procedures, including Process Hazard operability and constructability perspectives.
  • Material Specification and Procurement: Lead the specification and requisition of materials by reviewing vendor materials quotations, evaluating technical bid evaluations, and providing recommendations based on technical merit, price, and delivery. Collaborate with Supply Chain to procure material via internal tools.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Provide planning and scheduling for the design and procurement phases of the project.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support during all project phases, including project development, construction, and commissioning.
  • Engineering Management: Manage engineering firms to incorporate red-line markups into as-built drawings for all projects.
  • Project Development Support: Support the development of the project scope, schedule, capital cost estimate, execution planning, risks, and supporting information related to assigned facility projects during the project development phase.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering system design and commissioning activities within the Oil and Gas Industry. Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Certification: Professional Engineer designation with APEGA, or eligibility to register.
  • Skills: Proven planning, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiating skills, supplemented with practical proficiency. Effective and professional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Strong facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills to influence and drive-forward results and decisions without formal authority.
  • Other Requirements: A valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment - hybrid (office and home as per Enbridge schedule)
  • 10% travel which will include overnight business trips to the field or vendor may be required, usually requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
