Position Title: ICS Project Manager

Department: Project Services

Reports To: Project Manager

Job Summary:

The ICS Project Manager is responsible for providing multi-project support to project teams, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, schedule adherence, and compliance with contractual requirements. This role involves supporting new project setup and implementation on capital and planning projects, ensuring that corporate and client standards and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project support for executing projects between Canada & US, varying in scope and complexity.
  • Plan project resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to understand project scope and reference documents.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and client project standards and procedures.
  • Work with engineering team members to ensure projects are executed on budget and on schedule.
  • Assist with project administrative activities as assigned by the Project Management Lead.
  • Report engineering and project progress against planned budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate the delivery of purchased materials, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Assist in creating operating manuals and guidelines.
  • Continuously review the quality of project work.
  • Ensure project closeout and completion of project KPIs.
  • Support client account managers with business development duties as required.
  • Attend team project meetings and client meetings.
  • Be available for off-hours contact during construction and commissioning for technical, cost, safety, and environmental issues.

Experience & Academic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related Technology Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
  • CAPM, PMP, CET/RET certification, P. Eng designation, or equivalent is an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressively detailed design and/or project management experience.
  • Experience in Alberta-based EPC (consulting) company is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of engineering design flow processes between clients and engineering firms.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial automation and control equipment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Client service oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous learner and dependable self-starter.
  • Knowledge of PMI processes is an asset.

Job Summary:
