About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team, focusing on developing, detailing, expanding, and maintaining owner-side project schedules for complex, multi-year projects valued at $50MM+. This role requires collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure effective schedule planning and development, guided by your expertise in logic and sequence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and manage project schedules for planning, procurement, development, construction, and maintenance activities.
  • Follow enterprise scheduling standards for schedule development and implementation, ensuring standards are current, such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Revise baseline and forecast schedules as projects progress, incorporating change management and updating forecast dates with input from subject matter experts.
  • Gather information from project staff and stakeholders for accurate and timely schedule management, including budget loading and earned value reporting.
  • Interpret scheduled activities' performance, communicate risks and trends to the Project Manager, and ensure resource requirements are incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and report schedule performance variances and indicators.
  • Partner with the Project Cost Controller to achieve accurate cost and schedule integration.
  • Provide scheduling/planning/logistics advice, develop "what-if" schedules, and identify critical path elements.
  • Coordinate internal projects and associated external activities, providing advice and input on scheduling and planning.
  • Prepare and manage documents required for project completion, including reports, schedules, and updates.

Scope:

  • Impact is typically confined to the assigned project, with interaction with project team and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Recommendations are reviewed for accuracy.
  • Reports directly to the Supervisor of Project Controls.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with occasional travel to field worksite locations.
  • Overnight business or construction field trips may be required.
  • Expectation to produce required reports and cost data in a timely manner.
  • May require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Technical college diploma or university degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of planning/scheduling experience in the midstream oil and gas industry, preferably facilities scope.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Experience with multi-million dollar, complex projects.
  • Specialized expertise in project planning and scheduling.
  • Strong communication skills for acting independently as a senior logistics/scheduling professional.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude for building relationships with project staff and leadership.
  • Experience in earned value management analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to articulate technical schedule data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capable of making decisions within established guidelines.
