Job Description:
The Unify Business Architecture group oversees the ERP cross functional business design and processes. This role will provide technical leadership in overseeing the business design and cross functional aspects of ERP. During the Unify release for GDS and Alliance this role will guide the Functional Teams and the Functional Sustainment teams (Finance, SCM, AWM & Business Units) to ensure that functional design remains aligned between production design and future Unify project design. This team and structure will evolve as we complete the core Unify projects and all Business Units are on the common platforms and processes.
Specific Accountabilities:
Cross-Functional Business System Implementations
- Actively and directly engages with cross functional teams to solution cross functional design, business process, and sustainment issues related to Oracle and Maximo.
- Brings functional, operational expertise and knowledge of the business and Target Operating Models to the table and ensures alignment with the future state target operating models
- Strategizes, articulates and communicates the overall functional design approach in coordination with System Integrators, TIS, Project Managers, OCM, Functional Data Management Lead, function leaders and teams, and broader organization
- Work in partnership with Director, Business Architect to lead and resolve complex functional design issues with input from functional team members and key stakeholders.
- Provides strategy, direction and support during the GDS Release and other projects to the Functional Teams accountable to:
- Facilitate and drive resolution on conflicts across multiple projects with respect to requirements and conversion process
- Provide guidance to functional and business resources and external teams for functional design, processes, testing, OCM and training
- Track project activities and business readiness
- Participate in the definition of org-level scope and scope determination criteria
Cross Functional Business Architecture for the Enterprise
- Establish the design, implementation and evolution of a new Business Architecture and Sustainment Team (i.e. organization/function) that helps enable Enbridge to fully leverage the investment in the Enterprise ERP Solutions.
- Provides thought leadership and establishes and implements standards, processes and best practices for the Architecture and Sustainment team.
- Leads and manages the work of the new Team by following a two-path approach, both of which provide value to the business by helping solve functional and business issues and challenges:
- Short and medium-term: Drives and coordinates resolution to cross-functional issues and continuous improvement. For example streamlining business process, leveraging technical solutions, system solution gaps, etc.
- Medium to long-term: Provides strategic alignment and coordinates with the area-specific Unify Sustainment teams with the objective to sustain and improve Enbridge’s enterprise solutions of Oracle Cloud, Maximo and Click, including addressing some of the following needs:
- Enterprise and Business Sustainment Processes
- Functional Design changes and enhancements to align with the ERP design
- Business KPI improvement through better use of the ERP systems and processes
- Culture of continuous improvement
- Lead the conversion and addition of new acquisitions into the Enterprise systems
- Lead the conversion and removal of divestitures from the Enterprise ERP systems
- Work effectively and build trust with stakeholders, including internal and external customers and dependent functions.

- The position will be a key interface with the Unify program, the Sustainment Teams and the BU’s to ensure business alignment and engagement.
- Guides cross functional business design and alignment across the Unify and Sustainment teams.
- This position engages with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and service providers
- Partners with the Director, Business Architect in all cross functional design activities and solutions
- Develops and implements enterprise standards
- Makes recommendations for long term strategy
- Scope of the analysis, recommendations, and decisions are enterprise-wide

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
- Related university degree in Business or Technology
- 10+ years of directly related experience
- Knowledge of Maximo and Oracle Cloud is require
- Experience with business transformation on large enterprise programs
- Willing to challenge the status quo – push the teams to think beyond “the way things are” to the “art of the possible” and embrace new ways of doing things
- Proven strong interpersonal skills, including consultation, influencing, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution.
- Able to understand enterprise wide and Business Unit / Functional specific requirements
- Sound business acumen in the areas of planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong analytical acumen, with a proven track record in management, process optimization, stakeholder relationship management
- Strong project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery / implementation
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead and manage large scale change
- Flexibility to adapt to frequent shifts in priorities and schedules
Working Conditions:
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time
Physical Requirements: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
