About the role

We're looking for a Maintenance Fitter for our B&D business who will ensure our site performs at its peak each day. As a member of our team, you'll have the ownership and support you need to succeed, both from your leaders and your colleagues.

Our Revesby site manufactures the market leading B&D doors range. You will join the day shift team which is 6am - 3pm Monday to Thursday and 6am - 12pm on Friday. We can be flexible in these start and finish times for the right person. Our maintenance team have made several positive changes to the site recently and will continue to help us operate at the top of our game.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and participate in site improvement projects
  • Identify any plant equipment issues and troubleshoot, providing sustainable solutions and communicating with all stakeholders
  • Identify and highlight problems or deviations from the desired process, and lead root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Responding to breakdown situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested by the relevant Manager/Supervisor
  • Maintaining all registers, logs, and systems to track repairs, notifications, and work activities

Skills & Experience

  • Recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions during emergency situations.
  • Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities through ongoing investigation and root cause analysis of fault.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental practices with a commitment to best practices.
