About the role

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team.

This role is pivotal to providing advice regarding mergers & acquisitions and is an opportunity to be involved in various projects.

You will be pivotal in providing technical accounting advice and mentoring finance teams in various Strategic Business Units across the group and will contribute to the group’s external financial reporting requirements, including the quarterly requirements of the Nippon Paint Group (NPG).

The role is based in our head office in Clayton.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting advice regarding mergers & acquisitions
  • Contribute to the month-end consolidation process for the Group, ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met
  • Prepare annual financial statements for DuluxGroup
  • Lead the transformation activities, including system implementations.
  • Understand functionality of the consolidation tool and utilise it, including advocating the tool across the wider Finance team

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience within a financial accounting and reporting environment including consolidations and technical accounting analysis.
  • Knowledge and understanding of leasing standards is preferable
  • An adaptive and continuous improvement mindset
  • CPA/CA qualified
