About the Role

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer based out of our site in Clontarf, QLD.

This full time, permanent position will be responsible for the purchasing of site expense items and materials, consumables, and non-inventory items for Clontarf to deliver excellence in product and services availability to our staff & customers in the most cost-effective manner.

You will liaise with multiple internal departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of any assigned projects and pro-actively monitor and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data for all stocked items.

We are open to both graduates with limited experience and on the flip side those of you with existing Purchasing related skills and exposure. What you will need is a willingness and interest to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers
  • Ensure timely supply of Clontarf site components and material as required by the production plan
  • Identify and escalate potential supplier delays and any potential stock-outs to the business to ensure customers (internal & external) expectations are managed
  • Manage the purchasing and replenishment of materials using planning/ERP model
  • Work and provide quick responses to problems relating to services, components, or consumable supplies

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in complex manufacturing supply chain environment is preferable
  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing
  • Numerical and Excel skills to utilise data and enable data-driven insights
  • Highly proficient understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to seek for improvements and drive process enhancement
