About the Role
Join our team as a Maintenance Electrician with B&D Doors.
In this crucial role you’ll be an important member of our Maintenance Team responsible for electrical maintenance. You will be responsible for activities such as preventative maintenance, periodic maintenance, statutory tasks, implementation of safety and quality controls including troubleshooting PLC and control system faults as required for the Revesby facility.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive and has a can-do, ambitious attitude. Someone who strives to find the root cause of any breakdowns, fix it quickly and improve it for the future!
Responsibilities
- Supporting the plant equipment and services to achieve and maintain operational efficiency including quality in manufacture
- Troubleshooting electrical, control systems and PLC faults, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Conducting preventative maintenance on the plant, reviewing results and continuously improving
- Collaborating with operations to continually improve machine performance
- Ensuring the breakdowns are addressed in a safe and effective manner

Skills & Experience
You are a qualified electrician (NSW License) with demonstrated experience of working in a production/manufacturing facility, servicing and installing industrial equipment. You will have sound understanding ofPLC and automation with contract management experience. You have excellent communication skills with a natural ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
Other key skills and experience include:
- Qualified electrician with a current NSW electrical license
- Sound mechanical skills
- Good understanding of PLC programs and systems (Allen Bradley, Omron)
- Resource management – Contractors, quoting, sourcing spares (both electrical and mechanical)
