Your role 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Sales Representative to join our Selleys Sales team. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, this diverse role will manage a portfolio of accounts, supporting our Bunnings and independent hardware channels. You'll be working across a key territory (Tasmania) with the focus being on achieving ongoing commercial growth, building strong relationships, and adding value to your customers through providing exceptional customer service. 

In this autonomous role, you will predominately be on the road visiting your customers to gain sales and influence buying habits in your territory. When you’re not out on the road, you will be calling customers and planning for the days ahead, booking meetings and developing plans for growth in your territory.

With health and safety as a top priority, your days will involve training staff, merchandising whilst focusing on sales budgets, and meeting KPIs. This role offers variety and the right amount of challenge that will keep you learning and growing your knowledge and skills. You'll also be surrounded by an experienced team who will support you to succeed in your role.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Servicing all Hardware and Paint Channels (Bunnings, IHG, Paint Specialist and Field) and building relationships with store management and teams
  • Stock and Category Management, conducting training, and building displays
  • Planning using sales reports through Excel and platforms like Power BI
  • Account management for Bunnings and Corporate IHG (Mitre 10) stores

  Skills & Experience  

  • Proven sales experience with the ability to understand a wide range of products and offerings across all channels
  • Background in hardware or FMCG is desirable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills including CRM systems
  • Ability to work autonomously, self-driven and highly organised
