About the role

This role is responsible for leading assurance (to Governments, the Emergency Management Commissioner and other key stakeholders) that recovery responsibilities are met, including through monitoring review of recovery outcomes against recovery plans and regular reporting to stakeholders and Government.

The Manager is responsible for leading, supporting or escalating remedial actions on behalf of ERV where necessary, identifying gaps, risks and issues, and recommending solutions or mitigation opportunities.

This role also manages evaluation of relief and recovery programs and activities and embedding of lessons learnt to drive continuous improvement across ERV and the wider emergency management sector.

About you 

To be successful you will have:

  • Proven senior level experience and expertise in monitoring, evaluation and reporting to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Experience fostering strong working relationships and working collaboratively both internally across the organisation, and also Victorian Government departments, agencies, broader government and the private sector.
  • A strong understanding of the processes and levers that apply to Government
