This role is based at our Bradshaw property, close to the township of Timbercreek, NT. This is an extremely busy work - stay site offering accommodation and food & beverage.

 

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team at a remote location in Bradshaw. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for a team of 120 workers, alternating between dinner and breakfast services on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Darwin.

The Chef will ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and hygiene, and will have the opportunity to showcase their culinary skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Food preparation and presentation
  • Adhere to all HSE policies, procedures & safe food handling practices.
  • Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
  • Management of stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
  • Maintaining a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
  • Create dishes of high quality that will nourish and delight our guests.
  • Fast, effective service provided with a smile
  • Assist in overseeing all kitchen employees, including training and performance development.

About You

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous Chef experience and cooking in a similar environment 
  • Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in electronic purchase ordering and cost management
  • Proven experience in planning and developing menus
  • Proven ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Ability to prep and organise ahead 
  • Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
  • HACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygiene     
  • Current drivers license.
