The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie to join our team at Kings Canyon Resort, where the breathtaking Outback meets incredible dining experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to work across two unique dining venues:

Under a Desert Moon – A premium dining experience that celebrates Australian Native Bush foods and seasonal ingredients. This role is perfect for chefs passionate about storytelling through food, as you will present and share the inspiration behind each dish with our guests.

Bar & Grill – A fast-paced, Aussie-style pub offering in-house made pizzas, dry-aged meats, and native proteins. You will gain hands-on experience working with bush foods and spices in a dynamic, energetic kitchen.


What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for Australian native ingredients and an eagerness to learn
  • Creativity and input into menu development based on seasonality
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role (for Senior CDP, leadership skills are a plus!)
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or lengthy tenure in chef role)
  • Food Handling Supervisor certificate
  • Flexibility to work across a 7 day roster

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Kings Canyon Resort. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
