The Role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced hospitality leader ready to take the reins at one of the most iconic destinations in Australia – Discovery Resorts – Lake Argyle.

As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of this remote, resort-style property, leading a passionate team across multiple departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and tours. You’ll be the right hand to our GM and a key driver of our guest experience and team culture.

Duties

  • Supporting department heads to run smooth, efficient operations
  • Leading by example to drive team performance and guest satisfaction
  • Ensuring high standards in service, safety, and presentation
  • Assisting with rostering, stock management, and cost control
  • Jumping in where needed – we’re a hands-on team

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience managing multi-department resort or hotel operations
  • Strong leadership skills and a team-first attitude
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Operational and commercial acumen
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and highly organised

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Lake Argyle. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
