The Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team at Lake Argyle. This full-time, salaried position offers on-site accommodation for you to live in and provide essential maintenance and repair services for our fleet of vehicles, machinery, and equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of our operations and ensuring the safety and efficiency of all mechanical aspects.

Duties

• Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicles, including 4WDs, buses, and utility vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct necessary repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs conducted.
• Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide emergency mechanical support as required

Skills & Experience

• Australian Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Unrestricted/Open Manual Driver's License
• Extensive experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong diagnostic skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently in a remote location.
• A proactive approach to safety and compliance.

This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
