The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Kings Canyon Resort. This role involves managing the site and resort operations, leading a team of department managers and operational staff, and assisting the General Manager in strategically developing and maximizing the profits of various departments including Food & Beverage, Front Office, Maintenance, and Housekeeping Team.

Duties

  • Be the face of the property, welcoming guests and exceeding their expectations.
  • Foster a passionate and professional culture, leading by example and inspiring your team.
  • Deliver personalised guest experiences to the highest standard.
  • Manage a team of approximately 80 people during peak season, overseeing Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and working closely with Maintenance.
  • Maintain exceptional service levels for every guest.
  • Oversee financials, including staff rostering, with support from the General Manager.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven hospitality experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience managing guest groups in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, with adaptability to guest requirements.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of premium food and beverage offerings.
  • Front office experience (highly regarded).
  • Proficiency in RMS or similar property management systems.
  • A passion for guest service and team leadership, with the ability to train and develop a cohesive team.

Qualifications

  • Food Safety Certificate (essential).
  • Manual/Open Driver's License (essential).
  • Advanced First Aid/First Aid Certificate (essential).
  • Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent (desirable).

This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
