The Role

Be the main point of contact for clients in the venue and will work closely with the operations team to deliver exceptional experiences for a wide range of events.

Key Responsibilities

Venue Management:

  • Ensure the function center is properly prepared for events, including setup, décor, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and setup.
  • Stock control 
  • Cleaning and maintenance rosters 
  • Oversee event execution, addressing any issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the venue.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the catering, technical, and operations teams to deliver seamless events.
  • Supervise staff during events, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and contracts.
  • Prepare event reports and provide feedback to the management team.
  • Assist in marketing efforts, including social media updates and promotional events.

About You

  • Education: Certificate or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination or venue management.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on event schedules.
  • Physical ability to oversee venue setups, including light lifting and extended periods of standing.
