Oral Health Victoria (formerly Dental Health Services Victoria) is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. We aim to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups, and those most in need. OHV is funded by the State Government to provide clinical dental services to eligible Victorians. As trusted advisors in public oral health policy and program and guideline development, we continue to contribute to improving oral health in our communities.

Your Role: Create An Impactful Change

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Dental Assistant Coach to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of both new and experienced dental assistants and trainees, offering personalized mentorship and hands-on coaching. You'll provide invaluable support, practical training, and industry insights to help them refine their skills, build confidence, and excel in their roles. Together, we’ll make a meaningful and lasting impact on the future of dental care, empowering each assistant to reach their full potential and elevate the quality of service provided to patients.

Your Key Responsibilities: Shape the Future

  • Be involved in the development and implementation of our new traineeship model. 
  • Actively assist in daily team huddle meetings. 
  • Perform the dental assistant role as required operationally.
  • Collaborating with our Senior Dental Assistants, assisting with audits, onboarding/cross boarding, inducting new staff, guiding trainees & visiting staff to the department.

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (to be completed within 12 months of starting the role). We support continuous learning and professional development by offering dedicated paid study leave each week.
  • A great attitude towards staff training and development with fairness towards staff who are learning.
