Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) is partnering with Victorian community and health services to offer opportunities to Dental Assistants to join our public oral health teams.
We have a variety of upcoming roles available in sought-after locations across the state.
We invite you to express your interest in joining the public oral health sector as either an experienced Dental Assistant or as a Dental Assistant Trainee.
About the roles you can apply for
Dental Assistant
Are you an experienced Dental Assistant:
- who provides excellent patient care?
- who is passionate about improving oral health outcomes?
- who wants to be exposed to many different career opportunities?
- who holds a certificate III in Dental Assisting or Certificate in Dental Nursing (Please note: Overseas trained dentists must have a qualification in Dental Assisting from an Australian RTO).
Dental Assistant trainee
Kickstart your career in public oral health by joining the Dental Assistant Traineeship Initiative. You will become a Dental Assistant trainee and earn your Certificate III in Dental Assisting in just 12 months – for free.
The traineeship is open to Victorians under the age of 25 or over 45; Aboriginal Victorians; the long-term unemployed; newly arrived migrants from non-English speaking backgrounds; and single parents.
