About the opportunity
We’re pleased to invite applications for the newly created position of Group Compliance Manager as part of our hardworking, collaborative and solutions focused Group Procurement team.
Based in Hindmarsh, SA and reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, your key focus will be on managing and improving raw material compliance systems to ensure we meet local and international regulatory and customer requirements.
In addition to the technical aspects of the role, we are looking for a people centric leader to provide support and guidance to a small team while fostering accountability to achieve business outcomes.
Your highly developed interpersonal skills will enable you to easily and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across our complex business and build valuable networks.
You’ll have the resilience, poise, and confidence to deal with challenging situations and be comfortable with difficult conversations and making decisions; you are assertive, pragmatic and agile in approach.
In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:
- Lead a small team of two, based offshore.
- Manage the selection of suppliers and raw materials used to manufacture products that meet our regulatory and customer requirements.
- Implement, improve and maintain material compliance systems.
- Ensure suppliers comply with our obligations under local and international regulations.
- Work with diverse internal stakeholder groups to ensure raw materials comply with scientific, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Ensure systems are updated to reflect any changes to existing supply (eg for Illegal logging.)
- Coordinate/perform supplier audits based on risk, to ensure compliance with requirements.
About you
What you’ll need:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing, food packaging or FMCG, environment.
- Proven success in leading a small team, ideally in multiple locations.
- An in-depth knowledge of and practical experience with Australian and international regulatory affairs.
- An understanding of manufacturing processes and procurement of raw materials.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- A creative approach to problem resolution.
- A strong team focus.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline. (Science, chemical, materials)
