About the opportunity:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Product Specialist to join our collaborative, friendly and high performing Product & Brand team in Brompton, South Australia.

Reporting to the Group Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the design, delivery, and optimisation of strategic growth plans across our global markets.

As a Product Specialist, you will collaborate with sales, Launchpad, and our wider marketing and brand teams to define offerings for specific customer segments, drive promotional campaigns, and oversee product releases worldwide.

You’ll also strategically govern and direct key customer-facing product categories and brands.

In this role you’ll drive innovation and market impact, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability across diverse customer segments worldwide

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and tracking of category plans, ensuring alignment with market insights and business dynamics.
  • Manage the Group stock range and broader category lifecycles including the development of product extensions and improvements as well as product spec changes, replacements, obsolescence, and withdrawal.
  • Maintain product data integrity and oversee end-to-end processing through Detmold’s systems.
  • Collaborate with key customers and sales teams to conduct product development tests and address any issues.
  • Manage the product range, encompassing competitive benchmarking, pricing, and compliance activities.

About you:

To be successful in the role, you’ll have:

  • Experience in marketing, brand management, or sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • The ability to interpret technical information effectively.
  • A commitment to quality and service excellence.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels across an organisation
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to establish effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

While not essential, experience in the Packaging industry will be highly regarded.
