About the opportunity

At Cup & Carry, we make custom printing easy, fun, and fast!

We’re a national business; our head office is in Adelaide and we’re growing.

We’re committed to providing great service to our customers and offering quality products quickly and easily. Our service model is all about fun, not frustration.

We’re now looking for an experienced Digital Printer to join our Production team.

Based in Brompton, SA and reporting to the Production Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a safe, high quality and efficient digital printing process when setting, operating, adjusting, and maintaining the Xeikon Press.

Working closely with other team members, you’ll ensure production levels meet scheduled requirements, and that product quality meets specifications.

We work in a collaborative and friendly environment and flexibility to work across machines and a willingness to help the broader production team are essential.

About you

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Achieve productivity targets as per specifications for the machine for running and setting the machine.
  • Set-up the machine as per the “Standard Set Procedures” in the required time.
  • Minimise downtimes by identifying and suggesting better ways to do work.
  • Proactively prepare for the next job against production plan.
  • Achieve daily waste targets for the machine and make recommendations on ways to reduce waste.
  • Assist in printer trials for new product development and printer performance improvements.
  • Participate in root cause and corrective action investigations for internal and external NCR’s.
  • Maintain machines where required.
  • Perform both machine and general cleaning duties as required.
  • Record relevant data on machine record, quality check, productivity, and waste target sheets.
  • Run other machines and/or pack where required dependent on workload.

What you’ll need:

  • A trade qualification in printing. (A second-year apprentice may be considered)
  • Experience producing high end consumer packaging for the FMCG industry.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • A willingness to learn new processes and procedures.
  • A proactive approach.
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaborate with the rest of the team as required.

While not essential, experience operating a Xeikon or other digital presses and pre-press/reprographic experience will be highly regarded.

What we’ll offer you:

  • A commitment to your ongoing professional development through training and being part of a great team and high performing business
  • A commitment to corporate social responsibility – we support local communities and charities and are committed to sustainable and ethical sourcing.
  • A health and wellbeing program so you feel supported to be at your best.
  • Access to an active social club.

Be a part of the next stage of our growth and contribute to our ongoing success!
