About the opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team in our Head office at Hindmarsh, SA.  

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll support local and international Finance and Administration Managers with a range of commercial, financial, tax and risk management issues that arise across the Group.

Critical to your success will be the ability to work confidently and respectfully with senior stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Support the coordination and performance of the Australian Group's annual financial reporting compliance program complying with IFRS.
  • Prepare end to end reports for taxation, banking and financing and business relationships for selected Group companies.
  • Develop and deploy Group internal control processes and Group accounting policies.
  • Manage and coordinate the Group’s insurance cover and claims management process.
  • Manage the Group’s foreign currency hedge book.

About you 

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in group consolidation, statutory reporting and corporate tax.
  • Commercial accounting experience gained in FMCG, manufacturing or a similar environment.
  • Experience in managing business insurance, risk programs and corporate foreign currency risk.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across functions within the Group, locally and offshore.
  • Strong detail orientation and an analytical approach.
  • A degree qualification in accounting, business, risk or similar. 

While not essential, a CA or CPA accreditation and experience with offshore business activities will be highly regarded.
