Our Mount Maunganui site offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where innovation and teamwork drive success.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes, implementing food safety systems, and leading the Laboratory team to ensure that all products meet our quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing training and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes, equipment, and finished products.
  • Manage customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for quality audits and certifications.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Food Technology, Quality Management, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a quality management role within the food industry.
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not essential. 
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Experience with quality management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
