About the role
We are currently seeking a Debt Recovery Clerk to work in our Maddocks Recoveries team on a casual basis, 5 days a week.
Maddocks Recoveries provides end-to-end revenue recovery and management services. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and collecting outstanding payments from debtors in order to successfully discharge the debt for our clients.
The role will involve, contacting debtors by phone to follow up overdue accounts, providing clients with matter updates as well as advising on options available for recovery of monies.
About you
This role would be suited to someone who:
- is available to work 5 days a week;
- has 1-2 years customer service experience in a fast-paced environment;
- is committed to setting high standards, and ensuring a high level of service delivery;
- has an ability to deal with challenging and highly pressured situations and to handle a heavy workload;
- has excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to quickly develop rapport and establish relationships internally and externally, and will display maturity and professionalism at all times.
The successful candidate must:
- have a professional phone manner and be able to take high volumes of incoming calls and make outbound calls to debtors; and
- must be able to speak clearly, calmly and represent the company in a polite, professional manner at all times when dealing with debtors and third party's via the phone.
We are also looking for an individual who demonstrates the following abilities:

- maintaining accurate and up to date records of all action taken including, phone calls and correspondence issued within the collections system
