About the Role

DDH1 Drilling is seeking a People & Culture Officer to support our HR team.

As the People & Culture Officer, you will be responsible for administrative functions within our HR team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage People & Culture related inboxes and provide assistance to employees on general HR enquiries
  • Work closely with the Perenti HR Services Team and Payroll to maintain accurate people-related data within P&C-related systems.
  • Support with P&C Superintendent to implement People & Culture initiatives.
  • Managing end-to-end employment administration, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
  • Ensuring maintenance of employee records
  • Ensure all employee lifecycle activities are compliant with relevant Acts, policies and legal requirements
  • Provide assistance to internal stakeholders and act as a point of contact for HR administration-related queries.
  • Preparing and compiling monthly reports
  • Provide support to Recruitment and Training as and when required
  • Other ad hoc HR duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High-quality communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude that builds relationships with ease.
  • Previous experience in HR administration and coordination in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with Success Factor would be advantageous
  • High level of initiative and a proactive approach to the role
  • Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills, including working independently, frequently under limited supervision.
  • Work under pressure and multi-task to meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR will be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to respond aptly to sensitive situations
  • Strong planning, time management and organisation skills
  • Strong MS Office experience with at least intermediate reporting skills
