About the role:  

As a Project Manager at Dairy Australia, you will be part of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and support the business through the full project management life cycle including planning, initiation, delivery and evaluation. This role will work primarily with 2 of our business units, Research and Innovation and Regional Services, on R,D and E projects. This is a 2-year fixed term contract.  

 Key Responsibilities:  

  • Work with the project business leads and key stakeholders to complete project artefacts (i.e. project charters and plans) outlining scopes, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.  
  • Ensure that project objectives are delivered within the agreed time, scope and budget.  
  • Identifying risks, resolve issues and solve problems throughout the project lifecycle.  
  • Effectively manage the project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved.  
  • Prioritise project timelines and communicate regularly in relation to any activities which may impact on project deliverables and ensure compliance with all relevant financial and legal requirements.  
  • Manage the contracting process end to end through signoff, signatories, set-up of milestone tracking and budgets.  
  • Coordinate resources across Dairy Australia and externally (where required) to deliver on project deliverables.  
  • Lead, motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.  

Skills and Experience:  

  • Knowledge of project management methodology and lifecycle.  
  • Minimum 5+ years Project Management experience  
  • Experience managing multiple projects and a diverse group of stakeholders preferably gained in education, government or research sectors.  
  • Experience with evaluation and reporting.  
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.  
  • Ability to work with high levels of autonomy, while at the same time working effectively as part of a team.
