We're looking for a passionate and experienced Development and Regional Adaptation Lead to help turn research and knowledge into practical tools and services that improve the sustainability and profitability of Australian dairy farms.
About the role
This role focuses on southern dairy feedbase systems and requires strong expertise in ruminant Feedbase and Nutrition. You’ll lead the development of extension resources that support on-farm practice change, working closely with both internal teams and external partners. You’ll also help deliver and test new services directly with farmers and advisors during pilot and training phases. This role is able to be worked remotely (within Australia).
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with farmers and advisors to adopt new practices or technologies
- Strong knowledge of agricultural extension or service design (experience with the Double Diamond framework is a plus but not essential)
- Deep expertise in ruminant Feedbase and Nutrition, with a solid grasp of whole-farm systems
- A collaborative approach and strong communication skills
- A background in agriculture, animal science, or a related field (practical experience and postgrad study are a bonus)
Why Dairy Australia?
You’ll join a supportive team that’s focused on delivering real value to farmers. If you’re passionate about applying your technical know-how to make a difference on-farm — and want to see your work have an impact—this is the role for you.
