About the Role:
As Dairy Australia’s Regional Manager for Tasmania, you’ll lead a dedicated team, fostering a culture of coaching, mentorship, and accountability to deliver high-value services to our dairy farming community.
You’ll take ownership of regional planning, budgeting, and service delivery, ensuring our work aligns with the strategic priorities Dairy Australia, DairyTas RDP and the needs of local farmers. As the Regional Manager you’ll work with the team and stakeholders to shape extension and engagement initiatives that make a real difference on the ground in Tasmania.
A vital part of this role is Farm Engagement, particularly with Large Supplier businesses. You'll act as a trusted point of contact, developing tailored account plans and facilitating a team-based approach to ensure farm businesses connect with the right services, industry networks, and expertise. By understanding their long-term goals, you’ll help them navigate challenges, maximise opportunities, and drive on-farm success.
Collaboration is key—you’ll build strong relationships within your team, across Dairy Australia, and throughout the broader dairy industry. By connecting with farmers, service providers, researchers, and regional authorities, you’ll help drive innovation, deliver impactful programs, and support the long-term success of Tasmania’s dairy sector.

Our ideal candidate:
Ideally you will be degree qualified in agriculture, business/commerce or a related field, or have a significant agriculture background. You can demonstrate a varied skillset with a passion for nurturing high performing teams and building strong stakeholder engagement. Your honed experience in managing reporting requirements and evaluation of success will support our team in achieving objectives.
Your experience in communicating and presenting to varied audiences will support you in developing networks and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. You will also bring strong skills in report preparation and process improvement to ensure alignment with our values and efficiency in our ways of working.
Although this is a permanent full-time position, we will consider 0.8 FTE for the right candidate.
