General Practitioner
Nestled in the foothills of the Victorian High Country and NSW Snowy Mountains, halfway between Melbourne and Sydney, lies the Upper Murray region and its main town Corryong. It boasts a Victorian public health service that provides to a population of around 3,500 people. Corryong Health utilizes 8 acute beds, 34 aged care beds and a wide range of allied health and community services. It also has a modern medical clinic that is in juxtaposition with the main hospital building.
The town itself has excellent educational facilities, an active sporting community, and is conveniently located about 120 km east to the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga, which are serviced by a modern airport with links to the major cities. With the Murray River at its clear, free-flowing beginning, epic mountains, pristine landscapes, characterful towns and friendly locals, the Upper Murray region offers everything for people into adventure, nature, or just looking for a slower paced lifestyle; not to mention wineries and ski resorts at its doorstep.
We are seeking to engage a medical practitioner to take over a thriving general practice when the current full-time GP returns to Queensland in June.
Benefits involve flexible recruitment arrangements (options of setting up your own GP private practice or a salaried position), support for accommodation, relocation and family requirements.
