We are excited to invite a talented Full-Time Chef De Partie and Casual Commis Chef to join our team at The Coolangatta Hotel!
As a Chef, you'll play a key role in supporting the Head Chef to ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing high-quality meals, mentoring junior kitchen staff, and maintaining the overall excellence of our culinary offerings. You’ll work with a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to create dishes that reflect our seasonal menu, while also implementing effective stock rotation and waste minimisation practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a knack for motivating teams.
- Flexibility to work various hospitality hours.
- Proficient in conflict management, maintaining composure under pressure, and thriving independently.
