About the role

We are currently looking for a team of male and female Disability Support Workers to support NDIS participants who are living independently in SIL accommodation.

We have a range of participants with varying supports. Please apply of you have any of the following experiences;

  • experience supporting participants with mental illness
  • experience with manual handling and assisting with personal care
  • experience supporting participants in a wheelchair in both their home and the community
  • experience with diabetes management
  • experience working with participants from the LGBTQI community

We understand that the role can be quite varied depending on the individual you support however, your day-to-day may involve you assisting with personal care, transportation, community access, feeding, mobility, and domestic duties. This role is perfect for you if you are someone who loves to supports others maintain their quality of life in a supported independent living environment.

Please note that these clients are located in Bundamba, Redbank Plains and Carindale. You may be rostered across these locations, and any new locations that suit your skills and experience.

About You 

  • You are passionate about supporting participants to maintain independent living 
  • You have completed a Certificate 3 or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or other relevant courses
  • You have previous experience working with people with disabilities, preferably within an accommodation setting

 To apply for this role you will need to the following;

  • A current Working with Children Check
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Certificate
  • A blue card
  • A current police check conducted within 6 months
  • A valid Australian driver's license with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
  • A current first aid certificate
