Job Role: Data & AI Sales Leader


About the Role: 

Cognitus is SAP Gold Partner, SAP Innovation Partner and is one of the fastest growing services and software player in the SAP ecosystem. We have deep industry expertise in A&D, Industrial Manufacturing, CPG and Wholesale. One of the strategic objectives of Cognitus is to build and grow Data and AI business by cross-selling into our existing accounts. 

We are looking for an accomplished leader with a blend of expertise in Data, Analytics, and AI who can shape strategies, deliver solutions, and drive growth with our clients. As the Data & AI Sales Leader, you’ll leverage your knowledge to create impactful business solutions, engage with key client executives, and build strong customer relationships. Experience with SAP alongside Data and AI is highly desirable. In addition, industry experience and relationships in A&D vertical are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

·      Sales Engagement: Drive the pre-sales process, provide subject matter expertise, and manage client engagements from initiation through deal closure. 

·      Strategic Leadership: Guide large-scale data transformation initiatives, working with CDOs and CXOs to influence data and analytics strategies. 

·      Client Relationships: Establish credibility as a trusted advisor, delivering thought leadership and strategic recommendations to enhance client business processes. 

·      Collaboration & Growth: Collaborate with SAP industry practices, practice leaders and other sales leaders to develop proposals, presentations, and strategies to expand the Data & AI business into existing SAP accounts. 

·      Solution Delivery: Lead short- to mid-term consulting projects, assessments, POCs, and business case development aligned to client goals. 

 


·      Experience: Data Platforms, Engineering, or Analytics, with 2+ years on cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure). 

·      Sales & Delivery Track Record: Proven success in managing $1M-$5M Data & AI engagements, with a history of closing large deals and transitioning them to delivery. 

·      Consulting Expertise: 5+ years in consulting or sales within large organizations; deep knowledge in Data, Analytics, or AI. 

·      Skills: Strong presentation, business case development, and multi-stakeholder management abilities. Cross-regional experience in multicultural settings is a plus. 

·      Education: Bachelor’s degree required. 

·      This role balances delivery and sales (50% each) with a compensation mix of base and performance-based incentives.
