About the role
Reporting to the HR Advisor, you will be providing vital administrative and operational support to the HR function within CMC.
Your primary focus will be to ensure the seamless coordination of training programs, manage the HR inbox, and support payroll accuracy.
Training Coordination
- Plan, organise, and track training programs across all projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry standards;
- Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Group Training Organisations (GTOs) to coordinate training delivery, including accredited and non-accredited programs;
- Manage/monitor the TPAS to ensure accurate tracking of employee competencies and training records;
- Investigate and leverage training incentives, government funding, and subsidies to support employee development and cost-effective training solutions;
- Ensure compliance with all contractual training obligations, client requirements, and industry regulations across CMC projects;
- Conduct periodic audits of training records and identify gaps to proactively address compliance and upskilling needs;
- Provide advice and support to Project Managers regarding employee training and development pathways;
- Generate reports on training outcomes, participation rates, and compliance for internal and external stakeholders.
HR Administration
- Manage the HR inbox, responding to queries and escalating as necessary to relevant team members;
- Support recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews;
- Oversee onboarding documentation, ensuring new employees have completed required paperwork, inductions, and training;
- Maintain and update employee files, ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements;
- Assist in tracking and processing employment contracts, variations, and probation reviews;
- Provide general administrative support for HR projects and initiatives, including policy updates and workforce planning.
Payroll Oversight
- Conduct checks on payroll submissions for accuracy and compliance;
- Coordinate with the Payroll team to resolve discrepancies.
Operational Support
- Assist with HR-related communications, including letters of offer and employment contracts;
- Provide support for employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
Compliance and Record-Keeping
- Maintain HR records in compliance with legal and organisational requirements;
- Support the HR Advisor in preparing compliance reports.
About you
To be the successful applicant, you will probably have a Diploma or Certificate in HR, Business, or a related field, but relevant experience and skills is more important.
These are:
- Proven experience in training coordination or HR administration;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
