YMCA Victoria Early Learning Centres (ELC's) are safe, supportive spaces offering high quality early learning education and care for children aged six weeks to five years old. We have seventeen Centres across Victoria and one Centre in NSW.   

About the Role 

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Early Learning, you will provide support and guidance in strategic planning, in-person and virtual coaching, ongoing monitoring and evaluation for our Victorian centre-based teams. As SRF Manager/Coach you will form strong relationships with key team members and be responsible for the managing the ongoing organisational responsibilities required for the implementation of the funding. Responsibilities include: 

• Manage the administrative tasks of scheduling, tracking and monitoring SRF spend 

• Coordinate SRF support across the network and identify opportunities for sharing learning 

• Providing coaching support for early childhood educators and teachers to implement practice change through observations, feedback, goal setting and reflections

• Ensure that the program is individualised to the educator needs, and aligned with educators’ characteristics, skills and contexts

This is a full-time role on a 24 month max term contract. Officially based at Box Hill, we are flexible with the location as you’ll work across our Vic Centres and from home (WFH). The Remuneration for this role is up to $124,000 plus super, dependent on experience.

About You

To be successful in this role you you will have previous experience working with kindergarten programs, in particular extensive teaching experience and knowledge of the SRF Priority Areas (Communication, Wellbeing, and Access and Inclusion). Other requirements include:

• Evidence of the outcomes achieved through previous coaching work

• Extensive knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework

• Demonstrated working knowledge of the National Quality Framework with particular reference to national quality standards areas 1 and 5

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum Bachelor of Early Childhood Education

• VIT registration (in addition to WWCC)

• Current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence (regular centre travel)
