 About the Role

The Finance division at CDC is looking for a dynamic, passionate and self-motivated Corporate Accounting Manager to join their team at the Seven Hills depot.

This is an ongoing full-time opportunity reporting to the GM Finance to provide support across / for the entire CDC NSW business unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Management

  • Ensuring compliance with the Payment Times Reporting scheme and reporting to the National division.
  • Oversight of credit applications, new vendor requests, and approval of workflows.
  • Oversight of the function to ensure that payments are made within terms, supplier reconciliations are completed, and overdue amounts are followed up.
  • Regular review of goods received not invoiced.
  • Overview of the automated accounts payable software solution Exflow to ensure correct configuration, accuracy of data, and compliance with financial authority limits.
  • Working with the Data Manager and IT to ensure that reporting of AP spend from the ERP is optimised.
  • Responsibility for ensuring Accounts Payable policies and procedures is maintained. 

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Ensuring that reporting and policies are in place to monitor and overdue debts and to reduce credit risk.
  • Accountability for reviewing weekly submissions of outstanding items to the GM Finance.
  • Ensuring that Accounts Receivable reporting is automated.
  • Ensuring that overdue accrued receivables are reviewed.
  • Ensuring that the charter system is developed and maintained to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsibility for ensuring Accounts Receivable policies and procedures is maintained.

Financial Accounting

  • Monthly variance analysis of financial statements.
  • Submission of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Procurement code setup and maintenance.
  • Leading D365 testing for the Finance group.
  • Preparation of month end journals.
  • Owner of improvements to D365 for Accounts Receivable and Payable functions.
  • Preparation of TfNSW invoices and attendance at meetings.
  • Internal audit lead for AR, AP, and input for Financial Accounting.
  • Ensuring that accounting standards and policies are adhered to.
  • Input schedule submission to the group as required.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and other duties as required.
  • Project lead as required.

About You

  • Ability to establish positive relationships to gain cooperation and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience with creating and analysing financial statements.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • A sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and their application
  • Analytical and interpretative skills, particularly in relation to financial and operational aspects of business.
  • Experience with large corporate ERP financial systems e.g. D365
  • Well-developed Excel Skills and Modelling Skills, familiar with Power Bi

 Qualification and accreditations

  • CPA or equivalent
