Cattle Camp Hotel, Charleville is seeking a Head Chef and Chef to join the team! Using only the freshest local produce, our restaurant is well known for its diverse and modern cuisine.
As a Head Chef, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
- Develop innovative menus and ensure culinary excellence.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory and cost control.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
As a Chef, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues
- Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared on time
- Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
- Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
- Assisting with menu changes when required
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
- Availability to work any hospitality hours
- Ability to work well under a high-pressure environment
- Brilliant communication skills to all team members
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Applicants should have formal qualifications and at least 2 years of relevant employment experience.
