Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

 

As the Carer Contact Officer, you will be responsible for answering Carer Gateway calls. This role will be required to assist with supporting Carers by intaking initial information, escalate any urgent calls and scheduling assessments for carers. 

This is a full time contract position until August 2025. 

 

Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

 

·        Qualifications in Business Administration, Community Services or working towards tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other relevant discipline

·        Experienced in customer service, reception or administration, with a high level of professionalism and care

·        Demonstrated experience in telephone support work and ability to escalate calls as necessary

·        Understanding of intake processes provided as part of a telephone information, support and planning process

·        Intermediate computer skills, with use of CRM highly advantageous

·      Advanced communication and organisational skills

·       Understanding of and commitment to carer issues and needs

Salary and Benefits
