Engage with GP's to build awareness, inclusion and support of carers, through the design and delivery of tailored information resources and education. Part time role

Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

 As the GP Engagement and Education Officer, you will be responsible for building awareness, inclusion and support of carers among GPs, through the design and delivery of tailored information resources and education

 This is a part time (4 days per week) contract position until June 2027, based on funding.

  Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

  •  Demonstrated professional experience working directly with GPs and/or Primary Health Networks
  • Relevant experience and/or education in healthcare education, health promotion, public health or healthcare management
  • Relevant qualification (at minimum Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training or TAA04 Cert IV Training and Assessment)
  • Extensive experience engaging with health care and with medical professionals
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system and ongoing professional development requirements for GPs
  • Demonstrated experience in developing education content and resources for delivery across various mediums
  • Strong skills in development, facilitation, presentation and the evaluation of education and training programs
  • High level written, oral communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel within NSW
  • Current NSW driver’s licence

Salary and Benefits

The full time equivalent salary is $107K + super, which would be pro rata for 4 days per week.
