So, who can be an Estimator at SMART?
- Automotive repair industry experience, including Repairs, Refinishing, Assembly, Technician and Dismantling are all highly regarded.
- We don’t expect you to know absolutely everything about all makes and models of cars, but you should have good literacy skills to be able to follow documented methods.
- You’ll also have good computer skills. While we train you with our in-house systems, you’ll already have the ability to professionally construct and respond to emails when dealing with customers and suppliers.
- A proven ability to work within timeframes, while working with, and motivating your team to produce quality outcomes.
- Our roles are full-time and permanent, so you must be an AU / NZ citizen or permanent resident.
- Most importantly, you must be prepared to make safety your number one priority for yourself, your colleagues and your customers.
About the role:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to determine extent of damage.
- Digitally record the extent of the damage
- Allocate the repairs to the correct criteria utilising the correct repair method.
- Adhere to the process and procedures to ensure the effective ordering and delivery of the parts required to support the repair process
- Maintain detailed accurate records of all inspections, estimates and repairs using the appropriate systems (K2K, Audanet and Parts Check).
- Ensure compliance with agreed the criteria requirements.
- Confirm compliance with all industry-based regulations (repair methods).
