About Lady Northcote Discovery Camp

YMCA Lady Northcote Discovery Camp is located 15mins outside of Bacchus Marsh, found on 83 acres and has 256 beds. The YMCA has the lease to operate the site form the Sport and Recreation Victoria until 2041. The site is a busy site, with 20,000 campers attending each year.

About the Role

Join The Y Vic – Discovery Camps Group as our Operations Director and lead our team to new heights!

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the seamless operations of our maintenance, program, catering, administration, and health and safety areas. As the acting Camp Manager during planned leave, you'll ensure smooth operations and manage any emergencies. Your leadership and commitment to safety will foster strong relationships with client groups through outstanding customer service.

You'll promote safe work practices, coordinate our Occupational Health and Safety management system, and deliver essential training. Your multifaceted skills in outdoor programs, facility, and hospitality management will enhance our reputation as a premier provider of camping and outdoor education experiences in Victoria, contributing to our vision of creating stronger, healthier, and happier communities.

This is a full-time (fixed-term-12 months) role with an hourly rate of $48.27 + Super.

About You

You are a natural problem solver and people leader, with an ability to empower and lead a diverse and dynamic staff team, and manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships with ease. Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications

• Current Drivers Licence
• Tertiary qualifications in Outdoor Recreation/Education or Tourism an advantage
• Level 2 First Aid & current CPR Certificate
