CAMILLA is on the hunt to find an experienced and passionate Financial Accountant to join the Finance Tribe.

Expanding rapidly into overseas markets, CAMILLA is well on the way to “Colour the world”! With great success already in our US, EU, and Australian markets, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to contribute to the effective operation of the financial accounting function. The successful candidate will accurately record, report, and analyse the company’s financial transactions and performance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our rapidly growing company.


What our Financial Accountant will be doing:

  • Support the month-end financial close process, including preparing journals, performing reconciliations, and reports, specifically focusing on stock, fixed assets, bank, and sundry financial accounting adjustments.
  • Oversee and manage the accounting of fixed assets, including maintaining accounting and tax registers.
  • Oversee reconciliation of bank, clearing and other assigned balance sheet accounts, multi-currency online customers deposits paid, refunds, and settlements.
  • Assist with the preparation of full year statutory financial reports, including working with external auditors and providing accurate supporting documentation.
  • Assist in preparing BAS, FBT, UK/EU VAT and US sales tax.
  • Support the Retail business with POS, cash drawer requirements and reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the review of monthly costs across the business and associated analysis.
  • Actively support the Heads of Department and other stakeholders within the business with relevant financial information when required.
  • Participate, and lead, in finance process improvement and system enhancement initiatives such as drive improvements in reporting, controls, and adherence to group policies.
  • Continuous focus on driving business process improvement through streamlined solutions and leveraging NetSuite ERP system
  • Provide backup support to other finance team roles as required.


What we are ideally looking for in our Financial Accountant:

  • CA or CPA qualified (or near to completion) with a tertiary qualification in finance and solid understanding of double-entry accounting.
  • Experience in retail business in a similar role (retail or inventory-based favourable)
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems (NetSuite highly desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data and work with technical staff to ensure the integrity of financial information
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Exposure to mentoring and developing staff to achieve both individual and departmental goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels in business
  • High attention to detail
