Commercial Housekeeping Supervisor

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our high achieving Housekeeping Team. The successful applicant will be employed on a casual basis on rotating rosters. You will be responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper with directing and overseeing all housekeeping staff.

The main duties of this role will include:

• Checking all rooms cleaned by the Room Attendants to ensure they meet Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa standards.
• Liaising closely with the Front Office and Engineering departments regarding room status.
• Ensuring productivity and daily schedules are adhered to.
• Assisting in the day to day training of Room Attendants to ensure correct cleaning procedures and chemical usage.
• Ensuring WHS procedures are adhered to.
• Managing stock of cleaning products (including safe storage) and adhering to budget controls.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeping Manager with staff rostering as required.

Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous supervisory experience in a commercial cleaning environment essential.
• Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
• The ability to work weekends and public holidays.
• Previous experience in a similar Resort or Hotel environment.
